		Bespoke Converted Bubble and Foam Marland have the ability to produce special sizes and deigns of bubble film and foam bags, pouches and covers specifically designed for a customer's needs.
		Case Study: Furniture Covers An excellent example of this ability is the brand-new stitched covers made from 'Softline' Bubble film for the furniture industry: These covers are manufactured in the new Fabrication Facility, which has given Marland the ability to literally stitch bubble film together to make an over-sized bag with gusseted side panels, specifically designed to fit armchairs and sofas. 'Softline' Bubble film is used for this project as it has a inner laminated lining made from tissue paper that is designed not to scratch or mark delicate surfaces (such as the wood on furniture). The cover that has been produced is also made from an extra-heavy grade of film to allow it to be re-used on multiple occassions, helping reduce the amount of packaging waste in the furniture industry; when the furniture arrives with the customer, the delivery driver unpacks the furniture himself and takes the covers back to the warehouse for re-use.

		Packing Benches and Accessories Marland has it's own specialist engineering department, which manufactures the market leading range of Marland Packing Benches, strapping floorstands and accessories, which are available across the UK and Europe in most major catalogues and industrial product stockists. Alongside the large range of standard products, Marland's engineers are also able to produce bespoke sizes and soltutions for packing areas and warehouses. Marland's engineers are able to make personal visits if required, to work alongside the customer and develop the correct solution for their requirements.
		Case Study: Marks and Spencer Marland were awarded the contract to supply and fit a large range of bespoke packing benches and systems for Marks and Spencer Mail Order operation based in Warrington. This large warehouse and packing operation required over 100 packing benches, some of which were standard sizes, and some which were specifically designed by Marland's engineers to fit problem areas or perform a specific function. As product awaiting despatch was sent along conveyor belts from the warehouse, it passed by Marland's table and bench systems allowing Marks and Spencer staff to wrap, pack and protect each item before being loaded on to the awaiting trailer. Perhaps most impressively of all, Marland's engineers designed and fitted a bespoke 'hopper' system to allow loosefill polystyrene chips to be stored in large silos above each workstation across the warehouse and released by the packer to fill each box in turn. This required a large amount of ingenuity and technical skill on behalf of Marland engineers and is a testament to the excellence of their service.

		Marland Mailroom Furniture Marland's engineering team also manufacture a fantastic range of pigeon-hole sorters and tables. The main range is available to view by clicking on the Mailroom tab above, however customised furniture is also available if none of these sizes will suit a customer's needs. In a similar way to the Packing Bench systems, our engineers are available for site visits and consultation as necessary, and can design and build bespoke solutions when both space and time are at a premium.
